About This Site
The Mobility Aids is written by someone who relies on this equipment every day. We review rollator walkers, folding transport wheelchairs, shower chairs, walking canes and car assist handles the slow way: in a real house, on real errands, through good weeks and bad ones. Every article says what worked, what annoyed us, and who a product suits.

Mobility Safety
Nothing on this site is medical advice. The right walker height, cane type or transfer method depends on your body, your condition and your home, so ask your doctor or a physical therapist to check the fit before you rely on any device.
Always lock rollator and transport chair brakes before you sit, stand or transfer, and never use a rollator seat as a wheelchair while someone pushes you. Check weight limits, keep tips, wheels and brake cables in good repair, and replace worn rubber cane tips promptly, since a worn tip slips on wet floors.
Shower chairs and transfer benches need all four feet level and fully inside the tub or shower; test stability before putting your full weight on one. A car assist handle only works in a door striker latch that is in good condition and never while the car is moving. If you feel dizzy, weak or unsteady, sit down and get help rather than pushing through.

We update product information periodically, but prices, formulations, packaging, and availability change without notice. Always confirm current details on the product's Amazon page before purchasing.
